SETUP:
This stop-action photo required the use of two medium sized soft-lights that were placed to the left and right sides of the cup . Most of my backgrounds are placed in very close to the set so that additional high-speed flash units are not required to light the backdrops. A laser trigger was aligned over the top of the coffee cup and a delay module was used to delay the trigger signal long enough for the instant coffee to begin to enter the cup before an electronic cable release tripped the shutter.
